After Huge Success on the iPhone and iPod Touch Platforms the Neon Wallpaper App is Rewritten for the iPad

As the first iPads ship there has been a rush of development for apps specifically designed to work on the new platform and to take advantage of the larger screen size. One such app is the Neon Wallpaper for iPad app that allows users to customize their shiny new iPads with their own wallpaper.

Users can put their own text on top of a background picture (their name, number, a contacts name if using for a contact graphic, or indeed anything else they can think of).

Neon Wallpaper for iPad offers its users 20 iPad backdrops that are dynamically updated at regular intervals. Users can also use their own photos and images from the iPad Photo Library. There are 200 static built-in backdrops, 30+ fonts, 20 font colours, and 15 font effects (including the original Neon).

There are literally hundreds of thousands of combinations that can be created. Previewing of the result is quick and easy and once satisfied the created image is saved to the Photo Library on the iPad. It can then be set it as the background and/or lockscreen wallpaper (or alternatively used as a Contact graphic).

Images can also be emailed straight from the application out to any contact/email address.

As well as being able to use any photo, it is also possible to use third party background / wallpaper applications (e.g. ‘Backgrounds’) to download any wallpaper, but still have the ability to customize it using Neon.

The creators of the Neon Wallpapers for iPad promise 20 new backdrops added dynamically at least twice a week, if not sooner, with no need to update the application.

New features will be added as updates.

The new App, which is free and available now through Apple’s iTunes App Store, is the first App that is dedicated to weekly grocery specials on an iPhone.
